Why We Created This Framework

As a family-run business, we have spent more than 10 years helping people create outdoor spaces.

Over that time, we have supplied materials for countless gardens, landscapes, schools, parks and community projects. We have watched outdoor spaces transform the way people live, relax, connect and enjoy the world around them.

What we have come to understand is that landscapes are about far more than the materials used to create them.

They are places where children play, families come together, communities connect and people experience the benefits of being closer to nature.

As our appreciation for landscapes grew, so did our sense of responsibility.

We became increasingly aware that the materials used to create these spaces have their own story to tell where they come from, how they are produced, how they are used and the impact they can have on the environment around us.

We wanted to better understand that story.

More importantly, we wanted to share it.

Over the last two years, we have invested hundreds of hours developing the Corker Materials Framework.

Not because we had to.

Not because it was expected.

But because we cared deeply about getting it right.

We wanted to create something that genuinely reflected who we are as a business, what we believe and the values that have guided us throughout our journey.

Something honest.

Something educational.

Something that would help people better understand the materials they use and the role they play in creating sustainable landscapes.

The result is the Corker Materials Framework.

Built around four key pillars, CO₂, Recycled Material, Full Circle and Responsibly Sourced, it has been designed to provide clear, practical and easy-to-understand information that supports informed decision-making.
